Gangnam-gu Adds 'Electric Vehicle Charging Stations' at Bamgogae Public Parking Lot
Simultaneous 5-Vehicle, 30-Minute Rapid Charging Available, Pilot Operation from February 15 ... 64 Locations and 122 Units in Gangnam-gu 'Seoul's Largest'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) is installing one 'electric vehicle charging station' at a public parking lot near Yulhyeon Park (Bamgogae-ro 21-gil) in the district to realize a 'must-environment city' and will begin pilot operation from February 15.
The charging station is equipped with three 50 kW and 100 kW rapid chargers, allowing up to five electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously. With a 50 kW charger, one electric vehicle can be charged in 30 minutes.
The district has mandated the installation of electric vehicle chargers in 100% of public parking lots with more than 100 spaces, and so far, a total of 64 locations (122 chargers) have been established, the highest number among Seoul's 25 autonomous districts.
The number of 'electric vehicle charging stations' in the area will increase by four more locations in the first half of this year.

Meanwhile, since 2019, the district has been actively addressing parking shortages by overcoming the limitations of parking space supply in the city center through the 'Attached Parking Lot Opening and Sharing Project,' sharing idle parking spaces of companies and general buildings.
