Im Jongbok, chief of Gwangsan Fire Station, said, "If CPR is performed within 4 minutes after cardiac arrest occurs, the survival rate is high, but brain damage progresses thereafter, so the prompt and accurate CPR by the first witness is most important. Thanks to the witness's CPR, the quick dispatch of paramedics, and the emergency response skills honed through regular training, we saved a citizen's life."
