Shilla University (President Kim Chung-seok) held the '2020 Bu-Ul-Gyeong University Liberal Arts Education Cooperation Forum' on the 14th through a YouTube live broadcast.
The College of Liberal Arts at Shilla University (Dean Kim In-hyung) conducted the forum from 1 p.m. under the theme "Changes and Challenges in Competency-Based Liberal Arts Education."
This forum, organized as part of the Ministry of Education's University Innovation Support Project, is a program designed to enhance the qualitative level of liberal arts education in universities across the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions and to strengthen cooperation among universities.
The forum began with a keynote lecture titled "Challenges and Directions of University Liberal Arts Education" by Professor Cho Sang-sik of Dongguk University.
Professor Jeong Ji-eon of Dongmyung University presented a case study on "Quality Management of Required Liberal Arts Courses." Professor Lee Eun-hwa of Shilla University spoke on "Development of a Liberal Arts Bachelor's Degree System for the Implementation of Competency-Based Education," Professor Lee Hye-joo of Shilla University discussed "Changes in Competency-Based Liberal Arts Education - Focusing on the Student Success GPS Liberal Arts Class Model," and Professor Yoon Ji-won of Changshin University shared a presentation on "Learners' Perceptions of Non-Face-to-Face Online Writing Classes," sharing cases of liberal arts education operation.
