1 Confirmed Case Related to Hyojeong Nursing Hospital in Gwangju and 1 Case with Unknown Infection Route Confirmed
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Two additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to Gwangju City on the 14th, as of 6 p.m. that day, two more cases were confirmed, classified as Gwangju cases 1409 and 1410.
The infection route of Gwangju case 1409 has not been identified, while case 1410 is related to Hyojeong Nursing Hospital.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases from Hyojeong Nursing Hospital has reached 136. The quarantine authorities transferred 121 patients and staff from this nursing hospital to other facilities.
At Jungang Hospital, where 12 cases were confirmed overnight following the first case identified the previous day, no additional cases have been reported as of today.
The quarantine authorities conducted additional tests on six people who had contact with confirmed cases related to Jungang Hospital, all of whom tested negative.
The on-site diagnostic evaluation at Jungang Hospital is still ongoing, and measures such as facility disinfection, patient transfer, and bed rearrangement have been completed.
