From the Second Half of the Year, Two Additional 'Public Bus G6000' Vehicles Operate Between Uijeongbu and Jamsil
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Starting from the second half of this year, two additional G6000 public buses will be operated in Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province. Notably, one of the two buses will be a double-decker, which is expected to improve passenger capacity.
Uijeongbu City announced on the 14th, "To meet the metropolitan transportation demand in the Singok-dong and Millak-dong areas, we plan to add two G6000 public buses from the second half of 2021."
The G6000 bus currently operates at intervals of 20 to 30 minutes, but after adding two buses in the second half of this year, the interval is expected to decrease to 15 to 20 minutes.
The first bus departs from Sindong Elementary School at 5 a.m., and the last bus departs from Jamsil Metropolitan Transfer Center at 12:05 a.m. The route starts from Sindong Elementary School, passes through Singok-dong and Millak-dong, and heads toward Jamsil Station.
After stopping at 10 bus stops in the Uijeongbu area, commuters can reach downtown Seoul within 40 minutes via the Guri-Pocheon Expressway Millak IC. The fare is 2,800 KRW (based on transportation card usage).
