Gwangju 1179, confirmed on the 3rd, was a patient from Hyojeong Nursing Hospital, where a large-scale group infection occurred, and died on the day while receiving treatment after being transferred to Chungnam Cheonan Medical Center.
Gwangju 1216 was confirmed positive on the 4th and died the day before while receiving treatment at Chonnam National University Hospital. It was understood that he had underlying diseases and had been undergoing dialysis for a long time.
The cause of death was all investigated to be COVID-19.
As of 2 p.m. on the same day, two new confirmed cases were reported and classified as Gwangju 1407 and 1408.
The infection route of Gwangju 1407 was not identified, and Gwangju 1408 was a confirmed case related to Hyojeong Nursing Hospital.
