[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The construction project of the Daebyeon Fisheries Direct Market in Daebyeon Port, Gijang-gun, Busan, has gained momentum.
The fisheries direct market will be built in Daebyeon-ri, Gijang-eup, consisting of one fisheries direct market building (992.25㎡) and one restroom building (52.44㎡). To accommodate many tourists, a parking lot with a total of 47 spaces, which is more than the legally required 7 spaces, is also planned.
The basic design has been completed, and construction began in December last year. With rapid progress, completion is planned by March.
Once the Daebyeon Fisheries Direct Market is established, 56 stores selling seafood produced in Gijang will be housed. The existing sales facilities will be consolidated, attracting many tourists and functioning as a seafood production area distribution center.
