Kim Mikyung, Eunpyeong District Mayor, Holds Customized 'New Dong Work Report Meeting' for the COVID Era
District Chief Kim tours neighborhoods minimizing executive staff under With Corona... Discusses local projects with neighborhood employees without resident participation
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] As non-face-to-face interactions have been emphasized due to COVID-19, changes in administration are also emerging. Every year, the district office's neighborhood work report meetings were held with residents, but this year, a new form of neighborhood work report meetings is being promoted.
Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) has decided to deeply understand the major issues of each neighborhood without resident participation by reflecting changes in district administration suitable for the With-Corona era in the '2021 Neighborhood Work Report Meeting' to welcome the New Year of the Year of the Ox.
In particular, since this report meeting will be held without resident participation, it plans to find ways to coordinate and resolve numerous civil complaints that are closely related to many residents but difficult to discuss with them and are highly contentious, together with the staff.
The report meetings, which will be held from the 18th to the 29th, will be conducted one neighborhood per session, divided into morning and afternoon sessions.
Strict COVID-19 prevention measures will be observed, minimizing the number of executives involved. The neighborhood heads will report the major work plans of each neighborhood to the district mayor, followed by discussions on the content.
Eunpyeong-gu plans to promote cultural belt projects that will be the cultural tourism hub connecting Bulgwangcheon Broadcasting Culture Street and Bukhansan Han Culture Special Zone, which will be the future growth engine of the city in 2021. It also plans to accelerate the transformation into a leading smart city by integrating digital technology into district administration.
Additionally, efforts for a well-connected Eunpyeong, improving residents' quality of life, expanding jobs and supporting residents' livelihood stability, promoting resource circulation society policies, emphasizing a solid welfare safety net and village communities, all aim to establish a district where residents are truly the owners.
Moreover, in the era of hyper-connectivity, the district has a new administrative direction for the new year to expand online-based non-face-to-face interactions throughout the public sector, connecting public institutions and residents, as well as residents with each other, more closely.
