Chosun Hotel & Resort Partners with SSG.com to Launch 'Premium Ready-to-Eat Meals'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Chosun Hotel & Resort is making a full-scale entry into the premium Home Meal Replacement (HMR) market with Restaurant Meal Replacement (RMR) products.
Chosun Hotel & Resort announced on the 14th that it will launch three new convenient home meal products exclusively for SSG.com.
The newly introduced products include ‘Chosun Hotel LA Marinated Galbi’ and two fried rice dishes that are the top 1 and 2 bestsellers from ‘Jaju Table,’ a restaurant operated by Chosun Hotel in Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch: ‘Chosun Hotel Iberico Pork Neck Kimchi Fried Rice’ and ‘Chosun Hotel Thai Spicy Seafood Fried Rice.’
The ‘Chosun Hotel LA Marinated Galbi,’ released on the 14th, is sold for 25,900 KRW, while the ‘Chosun Hotel Iberico Pork Neck Kimchi Fried Rice’ and ‘Chosun Hotel Thai Spicy Seafood Fried Rice,’ released on the 21st, are available on SSG.com for 8,900 KRW and 10,900 KRW respectively.
The popular buffet menu item, ‘Chosun Hotel LA Marinated Galbi,’ enhances a healthy taste by adding Chosun Hotel’s unique Sadugan soy sauce, developed together with a traditional fermentation master, to the hotel’s recipe.
‘Chosun Hotel Iberico Pork Neck Kimchi Fried Rice’ contains 24% Spanish Iberico pork neck and 32% domestic aged kimchi, delivering a non-spicy and healthy kimchi fried rice flavor. The recipe minimizes the use of margarine and food additives, focusing on the natural taste of the ingredients.
‘Chosun Hotel Thai Spicy Seafood Fried Rice’ emphasizes preserving the unique flavor and aroma of Thai fried rice. Using dried shrimp exactly as in the popular Jaju Table menu, it faithfully recreates the texture experienced at the restaurant.
Previously, Chosun Hotel & Resort’s ‘Chosun Hotel Uni Jjajang’ and ‘Chosun Hotel Samseon Jjamppong,’ launched exclusively on SSG.com at the end of August last year, expanded their sales channels to offline Emart stores from December last year, surpassing cumulative sales of 220,000 units.
