Gwangju Fire Headquarters Conducts Emergency Fire Safety Inspection at COVID-19 Related Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Fire Safety Headquarters announced on the 13th that it will conduct an emergency fire safety inspection of COVID-19 related facilities until the 20th.
The inspection targets a total of 115 locations, including residential treatment centers, nursing hospitals, medical welfare facilities, and psychiatric medical institutions, which may be neglected for winter fire safety due to COVID-19 response efforts.
This inspection focuses on eliminating fire risk factors in vulnerable COVID-19 facilities in advance by checking the operation and maintenance status of fire safety equipment and inspecting whether there are evacuation obstacles caused by access control and temporary partition installations within the facilities.
Fire officials and related agency personnel participating in the inspection will minimize contact with facility staff and residents and strictly adhere to quarantine rules such as wearing protective clothing.
