[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Wono) swiftly carried out snow removal operations across the entire Seongdong-gu area to prevent safety accidents during the evening commute caused by the heavy snowfall that began on the afternoon of the 12th.
The district entered Level 2 emergency snow removal duty starting at 3:40 PM that day, following the issuance of a heavy snow advisory for Seoul and the metropolitan area.
In particular, Seongdong-gu proactively monitored snowfall through CCTV in the Incheon area at 1:30 PM, earlier than the advisory, and immediately began preemptive application of snow removal agents such as calcium chloride to prevent road icing.
Currently, Seongdong-gu staff are actively conducting snow removal operations focusing on major arterial roads, side streets, and vulnerable points to minimize inconvenience to residents and prevent safety accidents.
