Imsil-gun, All-Out Efforts to Improve Residents' Welfare and Respond to the Korean New Deal
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] On the 12th, Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, began major departmental work reports focusing on key policies for the second half of the 7th term of the elected government.
On this day, the county started work reports by sector including tourism development, economic revitalization, agriculture, and rural areas, beginning with the newly established Okjeongho Healing Division and Tourism Cheese Division through the New Year's organizational restructuring.
This work report reflects County Governor Shim's strong will that, following the new organizational restructuring and the earliest completion of regular personnel appointments in the province in the first half of this year, major tasks and issues must be thoroughly managed to more solidly promote the county administration goal of the "Seomjingang Renaissance Era."
Through this reporting session, the county plans to proactively carry out county administration to remove risk factors and actively respond to improving residents' welfare so that citizens can find leisure in their peaceful daily lives.
Despite the COVID-19 crisis last year, Imsil-gun achieved significant accomplishments such as ▲the first-ever budget exceeding 500 billion won ▲selection for major public projects including the Rural Agreement Pilot Project (50 billion won), Osu-myeon Happy Nuri Center construction (10 billion won), and Urban Regeneration Recognition Project (8 billion won).
Additionally, Imsil-gun's unique special policies and proactive administration have been externally recognized, boosting residents' pride, including selection as the "2020 Balanced Development Project Excellence" by the Presidential Committee on Balanced National Development, "2020 Excellent Local Government in Innovation Evaluation" by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and "2020 Excellent Special Zone for Imsil En Cheese Dairy Special Zone" by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Based on these achievements, this year, from the beginning of the year, the county plans to promptly allocate the budget to the right place at the right time to focus on future development projects such as ▲urban regeneration and central area revitalization ▲establishment of Okjeongho premium ecological tourism infrastructure ▲premium branding of Imsil cheese food and tourism ▲fostering the companion animal industry ▲development of Seongsusan forest recreation ▲expansion of living SOC, as well as fully responding to the Korean New Deal project, a key government initiative.
