According to major foreign media on the 10th (local time), Mexican health authorities announced that the UK variant of COVID-19 was detected in a 56-year-old man who arrived in Mexico City from Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, on the 28th of last month.
The man holds British nationality and traveled to Matamoros, a US-Mexico border area, by plane the day after his arrival. It was confirmed that he did not show any COVID-19 symptoms at that time.
