Jung Eun-kyung, head of the Central Disease Control Headquarters, stated at the regular briefing on the 11th, "The infection reproduction number dropped to about 1.0 last week, and the estimate for this week is 0.88, which is below 1, indicating an encouraging situation."
Director Jung said, "If the current trend continues, based on the figure of 0.88, it is estimated that about 600 to 700 daily confirmed cases will occur in one week."
