[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) will begin accepting applications for the 'Small Business Support Fund' for small business owners struggling due to COVID-19 starting on the 11th.
The support targets small business owners who registered their business before November 30 of last year and who have complied with administrative orders for business suspension or restrictions following strengthened quarantine measures after November 24 of last year, as well as small business owners in general industries experiencing sales decline.
About 360 establishments in prohibited gathering industries such as entertainment bars and emotional pubs will receive 3 million KRW, and about 4,100 establishments in restricted operation industries such as restaurants and cafes will receive 2 million KRW.
Small business owners in general industries experiencing sales decline, defined as those with annual sales under 400 million KRW in 2020 and a decrease in annual sales compared to the previous year, will receive 1 million KRW.
Applications can be made online starting on the 11th. To facilitate smooth application processing, a system based on the last digit of the business registration number will be implemented: odd numbers can apply on the 11th, even numbers on the 12th, and from the 13th onward, applications will be accepted regardless of the number.
For further details, inquiries can be made through the dedicated Support Fund call center and online chat consultation on the website.
