Jeongeup-si Opens Applications for Youth and Successor Agricultural Managers Support Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province announced on the 7th that it will accept applications for the Youth Startup Farmers and Successor Agricultural Managers Support Project until the 27th to support young farmers' stable settlement in farming.
The Youth and Successor Farmer Support Project is designed to help agricultural talents with unstable income in the early stages of farming settle early in the agricultural sector.
The plan is to select young and talented individuals interested in agriculture and provide initial settlement support funds, farmland, startup funds, and policy funds.
The target for the Youth Startup Farmer Farming Settlement Support Project is young farmers aged 18 to under 40 with less than 3 years of independent farming experience.
If selected as a youth startup farmer, farming settlement support funds ranging from 800,000 KRW to 1,000,000 KRW per month will be provided for up to 3 years depending on the independent farming experience.
Applications can be submitted online through the Agricultural Project Information System.
Additionally, successor agricultural managers are farmers aged 18 to under 50 with farming experience of 10 years or less, selected through document evaluation and review.
Upon selection, up to 300 million KRW will be provided as agricultural policy funds for farmland purchase, facility installation, and agricultural machinery purchase under loan conditions of a 5-year grace period, 10-year installment repayment, and 2% annual interest rate.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the local town, township, or neighborhood office of the applicant's address.
