Naju-si, Eases Eligibility Criteria for Basic Livelihood Security Recipients Starting This Year
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yuk-bong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 7th that starting this year, it will relax the selection criteria for recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security livelihood benefits and the support obligor criteria in accordance with the 2nd Comprehensive Basic Livelihood Security Plan.
From this month, the city will not apply the support obligor criteria to recipient households with low-income elderly, single-parent families, or recipients with severe disabilities.
Accordingly, as long as the income and property criteria of the recipient household are met, they can receive livelihood benefit support even if there are support obligors such as children or parents.

Also, due to the rise in the median income standard this year, the monthly livelihood benefits have been increased to 548,439 KRW for a single-person household, 926,424 KRW for a two-person household, 1,195,185 KRW for a three-person household, and 1,462,887 KRW for a four-person household. Medical, housing, and education benefits will also be strengthened according to the median income standards.
In addition, more low-income individuals will be able to receive broader benefits due to system changes such as the relaxation of the reflection rate of regular support private transfer income of support obligors and the relaxation of automobile criteria for recipients.
