View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 5th, Cho Gyu-il, mayor of Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, visited the Jinju Horticultural Cooperative Agricultural Product Distribution Center (APC) to inspect the current status of agricultural product distribution and COVID-19 quarantine measures.
The Jinju Horticultural Cooperative Agricultural Product Distribution Center was constructed with a total project cost of 4.1 billion KRW funded by national, provincial, and city budgets starting in 2019 to address the outdated facilities and increasing sorting volume, and was completed in March 2020.
The center is equipped with the latest facilities and equipment such as sorting rooms, cold storage, and transport vehicles, and is now in full operation.
The sorted items include four products: paprika, strawberries, pears, and persimmons, with an annual shipment of 2,450 tons (9.2 billion KRW) for export agricultural products and 1,080 tons (2.6 billion KRW) for domestic sales, totaling 3,530 tons (11.8 billion KRW) of agricultural products.
Jinju Horticultural Cooperative is the authorized organization for the joint agricultural product brand "Jinju Dream," promoting the excellence of Jinju agricultural products widely both domestically and in overseas markets.
