Boseong-gun Extends 50% Discount on Agricultural Machinery Rental Fees Until the End of June
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that it will extend the 50% discount on agricultural machinery rental fees at the Agricultural Machinery Rental Center until the end of June to support farmers struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Initially, the 50% discount on agricultural machinery rental fees was planned to be implemented from April to the end of December 2020, but due to the ongoing and worsening COVID-19 situation and disruptions in the entry of foreign workers, the extension was decided to address labor shortages during the farming season.
The rental fee discount applies to local farmers using rental agricultural machinery, and all farms wishing to rent can benefit from this support.
County Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “We will actively develop policies that can provide practical help, such as reducing management costs, to farms struggling due to COVID-19 and apply them on-site.”
