[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] On the 5th, Gwangju and some areas of Jeonnam will be mostly cloudy, with rain or snow expected in some places from dawn to morning.
The Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration announced on the 4th that due to the influence of a pressure trough moving southeast near the Bohai Bay in China, rain and snow will fall in Gwangju and northern Jeonnam between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. on the 5th, with sporadic occurrences in southern Jeonnam.
The expected snowfall in Gwangju and northern Jeonnam is around 1 cm, and the expected precipitation is less than 5 mm.
Morning and daytime temperatures will be similar to the average, ranging from -4 to 0℃ in the morning and 6 to 8℃ during the day.
From the afternoon of the same day, snow will begin to fall along the northern Jeonnam west coast, with snow expected in some areas from dawn to morning on the 6th.
On the 6th, a severe cold wave is expected, with morning low temperatures dropping to around -8℃ mainly inland. Morning lows will range from -8 to -4℃, and daytime highs from -2 to 3℃.
Snow is forecast to fall in most areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam starting from the night of the 7th.
