Gwangju Buk-gu, Nationwide 'Best Excellence' in Cadastral Resurvey Project Evaluation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Moon In) announced on the 4th that it was selected as the best institution in the '2020 Cadastral Resurvey Project Evaluation' and received the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award.
The cadastral resurvey project is a national project that aligns the actual land use status with the registered details in the cadastral register and converts paper cadastral maps into digital form. It contributes to resolving disputes between landowners and protecting residents' property rights through land regularization and boundary adjustments.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport evaluated administrative matters such as the establishment of implementation plans and nine other fields targeting metropolitan cities, provinces, and local governments nationwide. Buk-gu received high scores in areas including project performance, budget management and publicity achievements, utilization of new technologies such as drones, and collaboration with urban regeneration New Deal projects.
Since starting with the Saeyong district in 2012, Buk-gu has completed cadastral resurveys for a total of six districts, including Mangwol 2 district and Deokui district this year, covering about 3,000 parcels.
This year, with a national budget of 300 million won, Buk-gu plans to promote cadastral resurveys for three districts covering about 1,400 parcels.
