[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] On Saturday the 2nd, a severe cold wave below freezing will continue nationwide, with snow falling in some areas.
The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Due to the influence of a weak pressure trough moving southeast over the West Sea, occasional snow will fall in Chungnam and Jeonbuk, and there will be places with snow flurries in Jeonnam and Gyeongnam."
Expected snowfall amounts are 2-7 cm on Ulleungdo and Dokdo (until midnight on the 2nd), 1-3 cm in Chungcheong, Jeonbuk, and northern Jeonnam (from midnight on the 2nd), and around 1 cm in southern Gyeonggi and inland western Gyeongbuk.
With a dry weather advisory issued for Seoul, parts of Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon, and mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, the air will be very dry, so caution is needed to prevent various fires such as forest fires.
The morning low temperatures on this day are forecasted as follows: △Seoul -8°C △Chuncheon -12°C △Gangneung -4°C △Daejeon -7°C △Cheongju -6°C △Daegu -3°C △Gwangju -2°C △Jeonju -3°C △Busan -1°C △Jeju 5°C.
The daytime high temperatures are forecasted as: △Seoul -2°C △Chuncheon -2°C △Gangneung 4°C △Daejeon 1°C △Cheongju 0°C △Daegu 3°C △Gwangju 2°C △Jeonju 1°C △Busan 6°C △Jeju 8°C.
Fine dust levels will range from 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions.

The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "In areas where snow is falling or flurrying, visibility will be reduced, and many roads and sidewalks will be slippery due to accumulated or frozen snow. Especially, there may be places with icy roads, so when driving, please maintain sufficient distance between vehicles and reduce speed to prevent collision accidents and other damages."
