Bohae Brewery Raises Funds for Colleague Injured in Unexpected Accident
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Employees of Bohae Brewery (CEO Lim Ji-seon) raised funds to help a colleague who became paralyzed from head to toe due to an unexpected accident.
According to Bohae on the 2nd, a fundraising event was recently held at Bohae Brewery's Jangseong plant, where colleagues personally delivered donations to support a coworker who became paralyzed from head to toe due to a sudden accident.
Representing the company, Lee Hee-jong, Head of Production Headquarters, and Hwang Bo-wook, Chairman of the Labor Union, participated, and the family of the hospitalized Lee Chang-hyun expressed their gratitude on his behalf.
Lee Chang-hyun, who worked for over 20 years in Bohae Brewery's production team, recently lost consciousness after misstepping while passing by his home garden, and when he regained consciousness, he was unable to move even his fingers.
He was immediately transported to the emergency room, but due to severe spinal nerve damage, he became paralyzed from head to toe. What is even more unfortunate is that the accident occurred after work during personal activities, making it difficult to receive compensation through insurance.
Bohae shared this information with its employees and launched a full-scale fundraising campaign. As a result, 138 people raised 6.25 million won over 15 days starting from the 6th of last month.
