[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] A significant number of additional confirmed cases have been reported among soldiers at Sangmu Base, a military training facility of the Army in Jangseong, Jeonnam, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 17.
As of 8 a.m. on the 28th, Jeonnam Province announced that 16 additional confirmed cases were identified in Jangseong, Jeonnam. All 16 are soldiers belonging to Sangmu Base. They are contacts of an Army officer who tested positive the previous day.

After a confirmed case was found among artillery school trainees at Sangmu Base, a thorough investigation of contacts within the base and local residents was conducted. Among 296 soldiers, 16 additional cases were confirmed. All 29 local residents tested negative.
