On the 27th, the Dongbu Police Station in Daegu announced that A (67), a former executive who stabbed two employees to death with a weapon at the Saemaeul Geumgo in Sinam-dong, Dong-gu, died at the hospital at 4:34 a.m. that day.
A, a former auditor of the Saemaeul Geumgo, posted on his social network service (SNS) on November 27, 2017, stating that he had been involved in legal disputes over sexual harassment issues with the victimized employees for several years and expressed his feelings of injustice.
Later, at around 11:20 a.m. on the 24th, A wielded a pre-prepared weapon at three employees. As a result, male employee B (48) died, and female employee C (39) was transported to a nearby hospital by the 119 emergency medical team but also died.
The remaining employee was injured when A wielded the weapon but managed to escape the scene. It was confirmed that only employees were present at the Saemaeul Geumgo at the time of the incident, with no customers.
