[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the last train times of some metropolitan area subway lines will be shortened starting from the 27th.
According to Korail on the 26th, the lines subject to the reduction are Metropolitan Subway Line 1 (Gyeongin and Gyeongbu Lines), Line 4 (Ansan-Gwacheon Line), Gyeongui-Jungang Line, and Gyeongchun Line. All trains on these lines will end operation by 00:30 at the terminal stations. For these lines, the operation sections and times of 21 weekday and 8 holiday trains running after 8 PM in both directions will be changed.
Due to the reduction in operation of Seoul Metro Line 3, the operation times of 4 trains on the Ilsan Line will also be adjusted. Seoul Metro-operated lines will reduce operations by 20% after 10 PM starting from the 27th in accordance with the 'Seoul-style strengthened quarantine measures.'
