8seconds Reveals 'Best 6' Consumer Models
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Eight Seconds, the SPA (Specialty Store Retailer of Private Label Apparel) brand under Samsung C&T Fashion Division, announced on the 24th the reveal of the six best young and unique consumer models from the non-face-to-face Instagram consumer model contest 'Jipkok Model Challenge.'
The six best winners of the Jipkok Model Challenge will receive a total prize money of 10 million KRW (1st place 3 million KRW (1 person), 2nd place 2 million KRW (2 people), 3rd place 1 million KRW (3 people)).
Winning first place with 1,339 likes, An Seongjun (27), a business administration major university student who runs the YouTube channel ‘Andante’ reflecting his value of enjoying various challenges even if slowly, was awarded first place.
Second place went to rookie university student aspiring to be a fashion designer Jeong Minkyeong and Taekwondo 5th Dan holder Jeon Wooyoung, known for his great sense of style. Third place winners include promising top model Kang Min, science student from Daegu Shin Hyewon, and youngest middle school applicant who loves longboarding Park Jinhyun.
Eight Seconds conducted the Jipkok Model Challenge campaign for 18 days until the 8th, selecting consumer models through social media in a non-face-to-face manner.
Among approximately 4,600 applicants who posted their daily looks on Instagram with hashtags (#EightSeconds #JipkokModelChallenge), a total of 30 were selected through internal evaluation by Eight Seconds.
The 30 selected participants styled themselves with the 2020 Fall/Winter season products and posted their self-shot photo shoots on the official Instagram account. Voting was held from the 19th to the 22nd, and the top six with the most ‘likes’ were chosen as the best photo shoots.
The consumer models showcased their ‘30 people, 30 colors’ charm, proposing this winter’s outerwear trends such as classic long coats, lively short padded jackets for increased activity, and lovely shearling jackets.
