Excellent Government Innovation Achievements to Be Revealed at Online Expo Until the 3rd of Next Month

The government announced on the 23rd that it will hold the '2020 Government Innovation Expo' for ten days from the 24th to the 3rd of next month through online and mobile platforms.
The opening ceremony marking the start of the expo will be composed of a congratulatory speech by President Moon Jae-in and videos capturing the vivid voices of the people on site, and will be released on the homepage at 10 a.m. on the 24th.
The core of the expo, the 'Theme Pavilion,' involves a total of 79 institutions including central government ministries, local governments, and public institutions, showcasing various innovation projects through videos and other formats in exhibition halls.
In the 'Social Value' exhibition hall, projects realizing inclusive values such as human rights, safety, and consideration for the vulnerable in our society are introduced. Exhibits attracting high public interest include ▲119 On-site Video Medical Guidance System (Fire Agency) ▲Customized Services by Life Cycle (Ministry of the Interior and Safety). In the 'Digital Service' exhibition hall, advanced technologies such as ▲Mobile ID (National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior and Safety) ▲Underground Facility Safety Management using AR and Location Information (Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy) demonstrate how citizens' daily lives become more convenient and safer.
The 'Participation and Cooperation' exhibition hall shows the breaking down of barriers between institutions and cooperation between the government and the people. Visitors can see ▲Citizen Participation Budget System (Ministry of Economy and Finance) ▲Cases of rapid and safe mask supply through collaboration (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, etc.). The 'Regional Innovation' exhibition hall introduces cases that improve resident convenience and solve regional problems tailored to the characteristics of each of the 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
The 'Achievement Hall' comprehensively presents government innovation achievements so far, including COVID-19 response, the OECD Digital Government evaluation first place, this year's excellent government innovation cases, and outstanding cases of proactive administration. Also prepared is the 'Failure Expo Hall,' which supports institutional improvements and policy development to help citizens overcome failure and support re-challenges.
Additionally, leveraging the advantages of online interaction with visitors (citizens), side events will be held daily at 2 p.m. via live broadcast through the 'Innovation TV' menu on the expo homepage.
On the 26th, the program 'The Perspective of the 90s Generation' will introduce the recently published book 'The 90s-born Public Official Has Arrived,' and on December 2nd, the '2020 Government Innovation Excellent Case Competition' program selecting the best government innovation cases of the year will be broadcast. On the last day of the event, the 3rd, '10 Days of Government Innovation Stories' featuring Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety Lee Jae-young, experts, and citizens is also scheduled.
This expo is especially designed as a citizen participation-type expo for an enjoyable viewing experience, and various meaningful events such as donating mileage earned by participating in events will be promoted.
The government plans to use this expo as a driving force to raise public awareness of government innovation and to continuously promote innovation for the people.
