Near Gyodae Station on Lines 2 and 3, Transit-Oriented Youth Housing... 98 Units
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] A transit-oriented youth housing complex with 98 households will be built near Gyodae Station on Seoul Subway Lines 2 and 3.
On the 20th, Seoul City held the 9th Transit-Oriented Youth Housing Authorization Subcommittee and announced on the 22nd that it had approved a revised district unit plan decision (amendment) for the transit-oriented youth housing project in Seocho-dong 1657-2, Seocho-gu.
Once the district unit plan is officially decided and announced, the youth housing project will be allowed in the designated area.
The transit-oriented youth housing targets young people aged 19 to 39. The city expects that the provision of rental housing at prices lower than the surrounding area, along with various youth-related community facilities planned together, will contribute to revitalizing youth in the region. A Seoul city official stated, "The relevant district office will proceed with the building permit procedures going forward."
Meanwhile, at the same subcommittee meeting, the district unit plan for transit-oriented youth housing at 245-11, Guui-dong, Gwangjin-gu was canceled. The city explained, "It was a withdrawal application for the transit-oriented youth housing project by the project implementer’s personal request, and the original plan was approved."
