[Breaking] 386 New Cases... 9 Consecutive Days of Increase 'Critical Alert'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] As the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea continues to intensify daily, the number of new confirmed cases on the 21st reached the high 300s.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on this day, there were 386 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 30,403. This is an increase of 23 cases compared to the previous day (363 cases), marking the ninth consecutive day of increase.
The 386 new confirmed cases are the highest number recorded in 86 days since August 27 (441 cases).
Regarding the infection routes of the 386 new confirmed cases on this day, 361 were locally transmitted, and 25 were imported from overseas.

The number of locally transmitted cases has recorded three digits for 11 consecutive days since the 11th (113 cases), and in terms of numbers, it is the highest since the peak of the second wave on August 27 (434 cases).
