[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card is newly promoting global social contribution activities through public-private cooperation.
On the 18th, Shinhan Card announced that it has signed a public-private cooperation agreement related to global social contribution with the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange to help vulnerable groups in developing countries struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and will promote the "Good Hallyu Project."
The Good Hallyu Project is a business linked to Korean companies' CSR activities, aimed at social contribution and creating sustainable shared value for supported countries through culture. The Foundation has conducted a total of over 60 collaborations since 2012.
Shinhan Card plans to combine its capabilities in global social contribution activities with the Foundation's international cooperation expertise to support vulnerable children in four countries of global expansion?Vietnam, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Myanmar?with K-quarantine supplies, literary books, and learning materials.
Shinhan Card has established six overseas Areumin libraries in the four countries of global expansion, providing not only books but also learning supplies such as laptops, beam projectors, and bookshelves. Additionally, from the early stages of overseas corporation expansion, the corporations themselves have been conducting global social contribution activities such as employee blood donation events, visits to childcare facilities, book donation events, and donations of K-diagnostic kits.
