[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) held the opening ceremony of the ‘Dongnebangne Village Connection Center’ at 10 a.m. on the 17th.
The ‘Dongnebangne Village Connection Center’ is a resident complex convenience facility created within the newly constructed office building when the Southern Road Office, which was located in Daerim-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, moved to Siheung 3-dong, Geumcheon-gu in 2018. The Dongnebangne Village Connection Center, completed in May, houses a sauna, a health branch office, a library, and a community center for residents.
The opening ceremony was held simply with about 50 participants, including Mayor Yu Seong-hoon, resident representatives, and officials, following the order of ‘Center Introduction,’ ‘Plaque Ceremony,’ and ‘Facility Tour,’ considering social distancing measures.
Currently, due to COVID-19, only the ‘Park Mi Health Branch Office’ and the ‘Dreaming Small Library’ within the Dongnebangne Village Connection Center are operating. The sauna’s operation schedule will be determined depending on the COVID-19 situation in the future.
