Communication and Cooperation for Resuming Safe Cruise Travel
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan Port Authority (President Nam Ki-chan) will participate in the ‘2020 Korea Luxury & Cruise Travel Mart’ held on the 13th at Signiel Lotte in Haeundae, Busan.
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Tourism Organization, this event will be attended by about 50 domestic and international cruise lines, travel industry representatives, local governments, port authority officials, and about 300 general citizens.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event will be conducted as a hybrid business meeting connecting overseas participants online and offline, along with an expert invitation conference for citizens.
Busan Port Authority will jointly operate a promotional booth with Busan City and Busan Tourism Organization, and discuss establishing port and onboard quarantine systems to revitalize the cruise tourism industry, which has been depressed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. They will also introduce and promote new cruise tourism that is safe from infectious diseases.
