View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Kim Sang-yeol, chairman of Hoban Group, received an honorary doctorate in business administration from Chonnam National University.
At the honorary doctorate degree conferment ceremony held on the 2nd floor of the university headquarters' Yongbong Hall on the 5th, Chairman Kim said, "It is an honor to receive a degree from Chonnam National University, which has over 60 years of history and tradition," adding, "The learning I gained from the master's program at the Graduate School of Business Administration over 30 years ago laid the foundation for establishing Hoban Group's management principles, such as debt-free management."
Chonnam National University President Jeong Byeong-seok explained, "Chairman Kim has grown Hoban Construction into one of the top 10 construction groups in just over 30 years with insight and leadership that anticipate the trends of the times," and added, "He has fulfilled corporate social responsibilities through contributions to the national economy and local communities, co-growth with partner companies, and scholarship projects."
