Shinbo Holds Completion Ceremony for 'Ansim Village - Credit Guarantee Fund Solar Power Plant'
New Plant, Power Plant Site Provided Free of Charge
Local Residents' Cooperative Installs Power Facilities to Utilize Generation Revenue for Public Interest Projects
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] On the 3rd, the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) held a completion ceremony for the 'Safe Village-Korea Credit Guarantee Fund Solar Power Plant' at Cheongnimjae, the dormitory for KODIT employees located in Dong-gu, Daegu, inviting local government, related organizations, and community stakeholders.
The solar power plant project is a business model where a public institution provides the site for the power plant, and a cooperative composed of local residents installs the power facilities, with the generated power revenue being used for community and public interest projects.
In this project, KODIT provided the rooftop of the Cheongnimjae dormitory building free of charge, and the Anshim Energy Cooperative, consisting of about 30 local residents, installed the power facilities. Additionally, local related organizations such as the Daegu Council for Sustainable Development, Daegu Metropolitan City, Dong-gu Office of Daegu, and Korea Electric Power Corporation collaborated to support the construction of the power plant.
This project was selected as a model case in the collaboration category among the top 21 priority tasks led by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in 2020. It is also expected to contribute to the expansion of the 'local asset utilization project' aimed at addressing serious issues such as population decline in rural areas, weakening of communities, and increase in idle spaces.
