8 Public Institutions Including KAMCO Launch Crowdfunding to Support Busan Social Economy
Matching-Type Crowdfunding to Expand Market Access and Sales for Social Economy Enterprises
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] On the 2nd, eight public institutions including Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced that they will conduct crowdfunding to support 19 social economy enterprises in the Busan area.
The funding period is from the 20th of last month to the 27th of this month. In addition to KAMCO, support is provided by the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Busan Urban Corporation, Busan Port Authority, Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation, Korea Southern Power, Korea Securities Depository, and Korea Housing Finance Corporation.
This funding is the second financial support project this year conducted through the 'Busan Social Economy Fund (BEF)' to help social economy enterprises in the Busan area, which are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, to develop sales channels and increase sales. It is carried out in a matching investment method where BEF provides additional funds if the target sales (funding) amount set by the social economy enterprises is achieved.
In particular, this funding will include not only social economy enterprises but also small business cooperatives. Participation in the funding is possible by accessing the funding platform (OhMyCompany) and searching for 'BEF' in the search bar or by clicking the 'Social Enterprise Research Institute' banner. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Social Enterprise Research Institute or the funding platform.
