View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] MG Insurance launched the 'Cheoeumbuteo All-Care Cancer Insurance,' which covers from before cancer occurrence to after cancer treatment, on the 2nd.
It is characterized by comprehensive coverage divided into four stages: cancer prodrome, care, treatment, and prognosis. In particular, it covers high-risk prodromal diseases such as 'diagnosis fee for benign tumors (including polyps) of the stomach, duodenum, and colon' and 'surgery fee for benign tumors (including polyps) of six major organs,' and provides cancer healthcare services such as AI-based disease prediction tests and high-risk area follow-up examinations upon diagnosis of prodromal diseases.
The coverage for cancer treatment has also been strengthened. Through coverage such as 'continuous chemotherapy, radiation, and drug treatment fees, targeted anticancer drug approved treatment fees, cancer diagnosis fees (excluding carcinoma in situ), and carcinoma in situ diagnosis fees,' insurance benefits can be received for cancer re-diagnosis and re-treatment. Additionally, cancer coverage is subdivided by body parts such as thyroid, lung, stomach, liver, pancreas, and colon cancer, allowing additional coverage for desired cancers.
It also covers major cancer pain relief treatment fees and terminal cancer hospice pain relief treatment fees to help alleviate the suffering of cancer patients and improve their quality of life.
In case of cancer diagnosis (excluding carcinoma in situ) or occurrence of 80% or more disability due to injury or illness, not only is the insurance premium payment waived, but previously paid insurance premiums can also be refunded. The eligible age for subscription is up to 75 years old.
