A man in his 50s dies of 'respiratory failure' at Gunwi-gun wildfire monitoring recruitment exam site

According to Gunwi-gun, Gyeongbuk, on the 27th, at around 11:10 a.m., applicant A (59) participated in a physical fitness test on a mountain trail in Dongbu-ri, Gunwi-gun, carrying a 15 kg backpack pump and moving 1.3 km.
After finishing the test, A complained of chest pain while resting and died en route to the hospital in a 119 ambulance.
A Gunwi-gun official said, "We ensured sufficient warm-up exercises before the fitness test and even advised not to proceed if feeling unwell, so it is regrettable that this incident occurred."
