Dongyang Life "Collecting Good Clothes to Donate to Nonprofit Organizations"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Dongyang Life Insurance announced on the 21st that it has carried out a good clothing recycling campaign for vulnerable groups at home and abroad in collaboration with the non-profit clothing support organization ‘Otcan’.
This campaign was planned as a part of non-face-to-face volunteer activities due to the difficulty of face-to-face volunteer work caused by the ongoing novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
To this end, Dongyang Life Insurance employees and financial planners (FC) collected clothing-related items such as clothes, hats, and shoes that they do not often wear over the past month and donated about 100 boxes (over 1,000 items) to Otcan. In addition, they accumulated a donation of 10,000 KRW per box and delivered about 1 million KRW in donations together. The donated items and funds will be used to support vulnerable groups in Korea and refugees overseas through Otcan.
