Gwangju Bank Leads Contactless Financial Life with Launch of 'Jjin Mobile Savings'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 5th that it has launched the ‘Jjin Mobile Savings’ to lead contactless financial life.
The ‘Jjin Mobile Savings’ can be subscribed to non-face-to-face through smart banking and mobile web banking without visiting the bank, and can be freely accumulated within a monthly limit of 300,000 KRW by subscribing within 6 months.
The ‘Jjin Mobile Savings,’ which offers a maximum annual interest rate of 3.9%, provides a basic interest rate of 0.4% per year plus ▲an additional 0.5%p per year when transferring 10,000 KRW or more at least three times from the customer’s own account at another bank to the ‘Jjin Mobile Savings’ account via open banking service ▲and a preferential interest rate ranging from 0.5%p to 3.0%p per year depending on the usage performance of Gwangju Card at affiliated stores such as online shopping malls (refer to the homepage of affiliated stores eligible for performance recognition).
To commemorate the launch of ‘Jjin Mobile Savings,’ Gwangju Bank will provide additional preferential interest rates for subscriptions made until the 30th of next month.
When subscribing to this savings product, customers who correctly answer the surprise quiz asking for the names of ‘Ung-i, Dal-i, Danji,’ the characters of Gwangju Bank’s ‘KJBEARS,’ will receive an additional preferential interest rate of 0.1%p per year, allowing them to receive up to 4.0%p annual interest.
Park Ki-won, Head of Sales Planning Department at Gwangju Bank, said, “As the demand for digital and contactless finance rapidly increases, we launched ‘Jjin Mobile Savings’ to lead financial trends and provide convenient financial life for our customers. We will continue to do our best to launch products and services that reflect customers’ financial needs and trends.”
Meanwhile, Gwangju Bank is conducting the ‘2020 Jjin Mobile Savings Product Subscription Event’ until the 15th of next month.
This event targets customers who deposit 10,000 KRW or more from another bank account to the relevant savings account through Gwangju Bank’s open banking service after subscribing to ‘Jjin Mobile Savings,’ and will provide Starbucks Americano gifticons to 2,020 customers on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participation in the event is automatic for customers who agree to Gwangju Bank’s text message and mobile marketing, and event prizes will be sent via text message every Wednesday to the mobile phone numbers registered with Gwangju Bank for customers who meet the event conditions during the previous week (Monday to Sunday) until 2,020 recipients are reached.
