Fire at LPG Station in Andong Rest Area on Jungang Expressway... Extinguished in About 20 Minutes
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] A fire broke out at the LPG refueling station inside the Andong Rest Area on the Jungang Expressway in Pungsan-eup, Andong-si, Gyeongbuk, and was extinguished within about 20 minutes.
The fire occurred around 11:15 a.m. on the 27th at the LPG refueling station of the Andong Rest Area on the Jungang Expressway, heading from Chuncheon to Busan, and at one point, the use of the rest area was restricted, causing some disruption.
It was revealed that the fire started when a tanker truck transporting LPG crashed into the gas station building, and it was extinguished in about 20 minutes.
At the scene, an explosion sound was heard once after the fire broke out, but no casualties have been reported so far.
