At the competition held from the 16th to the 23rd of last month at the Goseong Weightlifting Specialized Stadium, Hwang In-chang, who competed in the -109kg category of the 92nd National Men's Weightlifting Championships, and Go Woo-min, who competed in the -67kg category, each recorded 1st place in snatch, 1st place in clean and jerk, and 1st place in total, winning gold medals and achieving a triple crown.
Following them, Lee Hyung-min, who competed in the +109kg category, won 2nd place in snatch, 2nd place in clean and jerk, and 2nd place in total, earning three silver medals. Han Geun-gyu, in the -89kg category, won 3rd place in snatch, 2nd place in clean and jerk, and 2nd place in total, earning two silver medals and one bronze medal.
Meanwhile, at the 34th National Women's Weightlifting Championships, Yoon Ha-je, who competed in the -87kg category, and Kang Ji-soo, who competed in the -64kg category, each recorded 1st place in snatch, 1st place in clean and jerk, and 1st place in total, winning gold medals and achieving a triple crown.
In the -59kg category, Kim Ji-hee won 2nd place in snatch, 2nd place in clean and jerk, and 2nd place in total, earning three silver medals. In the +87kg category, Park Soo-bin recorded 1st place in snatch, 3rd place in clean and jerk, and 2nd place in total, earning one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal each, while Lee So-jung won 3rd place in snatch, 2nd place in clean and jerk, and 3rd place in total, earning one silver and two bronze medals.
Thus, the Gyeongnam National University weightlifting team achieved a total of 13 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals across both competitions.
