Gwangju Special Judicial Police Conduct Intensive Investigation of Food Manufacturers and Sellers for Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Civil Affairs Judicial Police Division of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Special Judicial Police) announced on the 25th that it will conduct an intensive investigation into illegal activities such as the sale of unlabeled products to ensure safe food supply and establish transparent distribution order ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The investigation will be conducted from today until the 5th of next month, targeting distribution and processing businesses of agricultural, livestock, and fishery products that manufacture and sell high-demand or ceremonial food items, traditional markets, and food service establishments.
The main investigation items include ▲distribution of unlabeled products and expired products ▲non-disclosure or false labeling of origin ▲forgery or alteration of expiration dates ▲compliance with storage standards, among others.
