Busan Gyeongnam Branch of NHIS Gifts Blankets, Mattresses, and Dehumidifiers to Residents Flooded by Typhoon Haishen
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The National Health Insurance Service prepared gifts to help residents affected by flood damage.
On the morning of the 24th, the Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (Head Jang Su-mok) and Busan Jungbu Branch (Branch Manager Ahn Byung-woon) of the National Health Insurance Service visited Dong-gu Office in Busan to deliver supplies to residents affected by flooding caused by Typhoon Haishen.
The recipients of this sharing activity were residents near Dongcheon who suffered flood damage due to the overflow of Dongcheon in Dong-gu. A total of 20 households received supplies worth approximately 13 million KRW to support recovery efforts.
The donated supplies were prepared using social contribution funds raised monthly through voluntary participation of employees for flood victims.
Head Jang Su-mok said, “We selected bedding items such as mats, blankets, and electric blankets for residents who had uncomfortable sleeping conditions due to wet blankets from the flood damage and the increasingly cold weather, as well as dehumidifiers to remove the dampness inside homes caused by flooding.”
Head Jang added, “We hope the damage suffered by the flood-affected residents will be restored quickly so they can return to their daily lives.”
