KT "Practice Road Driving with Wonnaebi"
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT signed a business agreement with the Korea Road Traffic Authority on the 24th to provide a "safe and convenient non-face-to-face road driving practice service." KT will commercialize a service that allows users to practice the road driving test courses of driver’s license test centers nationwide through its navigation app, ONE NAVI.
KT applied the road driving test course data from 27 driver’s license test centers nationwide, provided by the Korea Road Traffic Authority, to its navigation app ONE NAVI. The beta service has been available since the end of June. Following the signing of this MOU, the service will be officially launched.
When a driver holding a learner’s permit wishes to take the road driving test at a driver’s license test center, they can preview the course characteristics by watching the simulated driving and driving videos on ONE NAVI. During actual driving practice, various guidance along the route helps ensure safe driving.
KT and the Korea Road Traffic Authority plan to jointly conduct a public traffic safety campaign through TBN (Korea Transportation Broadcasting), which operates under the Korea Road Traffic Authority, to provide a safer traffic environment for the public as part of this business agreement.
