Pukyong National University, Pre-registration Until the 29th ... Real-time Online Video Conference on October 12
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Pukyong National University is holding an online job fair for job seekers struggling with employment due to COVID-19.
The University Job Center and Talent Development Institute of Pukyong National University's New Industry-Academia Convergence Headquarters (Head Seo Yong-cheol) announced on the 23rd that they will hold the "2020 Ontact Career and Employment Fair" in real-time online video format on the 12th of next month.
Last year, more than 1,000 students participated in this event held at the lawn square of Pukyong National University's Daeyeon Campus, but this year, due to COVID-19, it was difficult to hold an on-site event, so the format was changed.
Pukyong National University created a separate fair website and set up online booths for participating companies and organizations within the website to provide real-time mentoring and information.
About 40 companies and organizations from various fields, including Korea Ocean Business Corporation, Korea Railroad Corporation, SK Hynix, Hyundai·Kia Motors, Dongwon Systems, and Busan Technopark, are participating in this fair, and current employees provide consultations online directly.
Students who wish to participate in the fair must pre-register by the 29th and access the corresponding online booth using a computer at the application time on the day of the event.
Consultations are conducted in 30-minute intervals from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at each booth. Three people can connect and participate in each session.
If there is a surge of applicants by time slot, in addition to the three questioners, up to seven observers can additionally connect.
Related organizations such as Pukyong National University's LINC+ Project Group, WISET Project Group, Busan Employment Center, and Busan Overseas Employment Center will also set up online booths and provide mentoring, special lectures, and briefing programs.
