Gwangju Gwangsan-gu Launches Special Monitoring to Prevent Environmental Pollution Ahead of Chuseok
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan District, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Samho) announced on the 21st that it will launch special monitoring and publicity to prevent environmental pollution accidents ahead of Chuseok.
This special activity, which will continue from today until the 4th of next month, was promoted to prevent environmental pollution accidents caused by unauthorized discharge of wastewater or abnormal facility operations during the Chuseok holiday period.
From the 21st to the 29th, before Chuseok, business operators will be requested to conduct voluntary facility inspections at environmental discharge sites, and inspection teams will be formed to focus on monitoring vulnerable facilities.
During the five-day Chuseok holiday period starting on the 30th, an "Environmental Pollution Accident Response Situation Room" will be operated to maintain an emergency contact system with the Ministry of Environment and others, enabling a prompt response in case of environmental pollution accidents.
