[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) has created a rooftop garden at Borin Hope Housing (5th branch) in Gasan-dong to alleviate the depression of elderly residents who are physically and mentally exhausted due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
At 11 a.m. that day, Mayor Yu Seong-hoon comforted the elderly residents who have been struggling due to reduced outdoor activities caused by COVID-19 by planting seedlings together on the rooftop of Borin Hope Housing.
The district plans to additionally create a rooftop garden at Borin Happy Housing (6th branch) in Siheung 1-dong in September and to renovate the rooftop gardens of the aging Borin Housing (1st to 4th branches).
