[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Another case of COVID-19 infection has occurred at a frontline police station in the Seoul area.
On the 18th, the Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul announced that one of its police officers tested positive for COVID-19 at the Seodaemun Public Health Center the day before, resulting in the partial closure of the building.
The office where the infected officer worked was closed, and disinfection was carried out throughout the entire police station. The police are conducting an epidemiological investigation by analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to trace the movements of the infected officer.
More than 20 police officers who worked in the same office as the infected employee underwent COVID-19 testing on the morning of the 18th and have entered self-quarantine. No additional confirmed cases have been reported so far.

The infected employee left work at 4 p.m. on the 16th and experienced a mild fever from the evening, so they did not go to work the next day and got tested.
