Damyang-gun Signs Public-Private Agreement to Increase Population
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yuk-bong] Damyang County, Jeollanam-do (County Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 16th that it signed the first population increase practice agreement at the county office together with the Youth Policy Council and Nature and People Co., Ltd.
Through this agreement, the county recognized the population decline issue as a local social problem and agreed to cooperate mutually to secure a population of 50,000. It plans to continue relay agreements with about 20 local companies in the future.
In addition, the county will encourage dormitory workers and students to change their address to the dormitory and minimize the inconvenience of visiting administrative agencies for moving-in registration, thereby providing convenience for moving-in registration applications.
Letters from the county governor along with promotional materials containing various moving-in encouragement support measures will also be sent to expatriate hometown associations and small local companies to spread the atmosphere of participation in the Damyang愛 Address Holding Movement.
